Hello! My name is Nova Carlson, I am an Illustrator and Animator that strives to connect the traditional art mediums with digital work. As a mixed media artist I often work with watercolors, gouache, and chalk pastels while combining them with digital media.
My style is semi-realistic with fantasy elements and dips into Surrealism. My work is influenced by nature, focusing on animals and the human experience through many perspectives. I love to get up close with nature for inspiration by volunteering at the River Revitalization Foundation. I also take inspiration from mysteries; my work asks the audience to dig deeper and find more information. I aim to create work that connects with people and lets them explore their inner selves.
